Cling to God for your Help

Psalm 63:7-8 (New International Version)

7 Because you are my help,
I sing in the shadow of your wings.

8 My soul clings to you;
       your right hand upholds me.

No matter what you may be going through, remember that God is your Help. Allow your soul to Cling to Him and His word for your guidance, wisdom, counsel, protection, provision, healing, deliverance, shield, refuge, fortress, and peace. He promises to be all these things and more for His Children.

Everything

This is an amazing song by Tim Hughes…I’ve heard it many times before, but this weekend I happened to focus on the words to the song.  Listen and Read the lyrics as you watch the breathtakingly beautiful photographs of God’s creation.  Let the words really sink in.  “Be my Everything!!”

Brand New Ending

Though no one can go back and make a brand new start,

Anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.

22 “The faithful love of the Lord never ends!
      His mercies never cease.

23 Great is his faithfulness;
his mercies begin afresh each morning.

24 I say to myself, “The Lord is my inheritance;
therefore, I will hope in him!”

Poem: Eyes that are Unseen

Standard

Eyes that are Unseen

Let me see, with eyes that are unseen,

The window into my soul.

Let me love with a heart that does not feel

The scars from life’s battles.

Let me think with a mind that is wise

In lessons from above.

Let me hope with a spirit that is free,

And anchored in God’s care.

Let me shine with a heavenly glow

By reflecting the One who is Light.

You cannot do a kindness too soon,

For you never know how soon it will be too late.

Are you Jesus?

Are You Jesus?

This story made me stop and think and maybe it will brighten your day!

A few years ago a group of salesmen went to a regional sales convention in Chicago.
They had assured their wives that they would be home in plenty of time for Friday night’s dinner. In their rush, with tickets and briefcases, one of these salesmen inadvertently kicked over a table which held a display of apples. Apples flew everywhere.

Without stopping or looking back, they all managed to reach the plane in time for their nearly missed boarding.

ALL BUT ONE! He paused, took a deep breath, got in touch with his feelings, and experienced a twinge of compassion for the girl whose apple stand had been overturned. He told his buddies to go on without him, waved good-bye, told one of them to call his wife when they arrived at their home destination and explain his taking a later flight.

Then he returned to the terminal where the apples were all over the terminal floor.

 He was glad he did.

The 16-year-old girl was totally blind! She was softly crying, tears running down her cheeks in frustration and at the same time helplessly groping for her spilled produce as the crowd swirled about her, no one stopping and no one to care for her plight. The salesman knelt on the floor with her, gathered up the apples, put them back on the

Table and helped organize her display. As he did this, he noticed that many of them had become battered and bruised; these he set aside in another basket. When he had finished, he pulled out his wallet and said to the girl, ‘Here, please take this $40 for the damage we did. Are you okay?’
She nodded through her tears… He continued on with, ‘I hope we didn’t spoil your day too badly.’
As the salesman started to walk away, the bewildered blind girl called out to him,

‘Mister….’ He paused and turned to look back into those blind eyes. She continued,

‘Are you Jesus?’

He stopped in mid-stride, and he wondered. Then slowly he made his way to catch the later flight with that question burning and bouncing about in his soul: ‘Are you Jesus?’

Do people mistake you for Jesus? That’s our destiny, is it not? To be so much like Jesus that people cannot tell the difference as we live and interact with a world that is blind to His love, life and grace. If we claim to know Him, we should live, walk and act as He would.  Knowing Him is more than simply quoting scripture and going to church. It’s actually living the Word as life unfolds day to day. You are the apple of His eye even though we, too, have been bruised by a fall. He stopped what He was doing and picked you and me up on a hill called Calvary and paid in full for our damaged fruit. (Author Unknown)

Would anyone mistake you for Jesus today? Are you reflecting His glory?

2 Corinthians 3:18 (New International Version)

“18And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.”

 The Voice

“There is a voice inside of you that whispers all day long,

I feel that this is right for me,

I know that this is wrong.

No teacher, preacher, parent, friend,

or wise man can decide

What is right for you-

Just listen to the voice that speaks inside.”

The video below is an amazing story about a champion Chocolate Lab.  What makes the story truly awesome is how the dog and his owner are being used to share God’s message with others.  It is a great reminder that God can use us in our everyday life, doing what we love to do.  He has planted each of us in the exact place we find ourselves for a specific reason.  We just need to bloom for Him right where we are!  Click on the video  below or here:   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yKohJ1k4oKA
